
Om Eurovision Song Contest
Eurovision Song Contest är världens största underhållningsprogram och en årligt återkommande sångtävling som arrangeras av Europeiska radio- och TV-unionen (EBU) tillsammans med det land som vann föregående år. Tävlingen är en samproduktion mellan EBU:s medlemsbolag, där varje deltagande land skickar ett eget bidrag med tillhörande artist. Officiellt är det låtarna som tävlar, även om man oftast pratar om länderna, artisterna och bidragen. Inför varje upplaga bestämmer de nationella TV-bolagen själva hur de väljer ut sitt bidrag, men alla måste följa EBU:s regelverk. Det innebär bland annat att låtarna ska vara nyskrivna och inte tidigare publicerade, att de håller rätt längd och att bara ett visst antal personer får stå på scenen. Serien hade premiär 1956 och har hittills sänt 110 avsnitt fördelade på 70 säsonger. Den är fortfarande i produktion. Bland programledarna finns Victoria Swarovski som Self - Host, Michael Ostrowski som Self - Host och Emily Busvine som Self - Green Room Host.

Grand Final
2025-05-17 | avsnitt 3The 69th Eurovision Song Contest was held in Basel, Switzerland, at the St. Jakobshalle in May 2025. 37 countries competed, marked by the return of Montenegro. The shows were hosted by Hazel Brugger, Michelle Hunziker, and Sandra Studer. The event's motto was 'Welcome Home', celebrating Eurovision's return to its 1956 origins. Its brand identity, 'Unity Shapes Love', was inspired by Swiss dialogue and featured pulsating heart visuals. The stage design was influenced by Switzerland's mountains and diversity. Austria’s JJ won the contest with the song 'Wasted Love', earning 436 points and securing Austria's first victory since 2014. In second place was Israel's Yuval Raphael with 'New Day Will Rise' (357 points), while Estonia's Tommy Cash finished a close third with 'Espresso Macchiato' (356 points).

Lisbon 2018

Helsinki 2007
2007 | 2 avsnittThe Final of the 52nd Eurovision Song Contest took place in Helsinki, Finland, at the Hartwall Arena. For the occasion, the venue was referred to as the Helsinki Arena. Czech Republic and Georgia debuted in the Semi-Final, so did Serbia and Montenegro as independent states. Of those countries, only Georgia and Serbia managed to qualify for the Final, together with returning country Hungary.

Athens 2006

Luxembourg City 1973

Edinburgh 1972
